Recycle the Envelopes

One recent Mother of the bride, when faced with stacks of extras decided we should recycle the envelopes. Why not? They are a great quality paper, and it was a shame to not get more value from them. She asked me to make a guest book using leftover envelopes as the pages. Here are just a few of the envelopes to be cut into book pages.

I will share photos of the guest book as soon as I can after the wedding. I'm just cutting these pages today, and the wedding is next month.

  1. What a great idea! Although I've only rarely had more than 4 or 5 extra envelopes left over; most brides keep remembering people they forgot to invite, and the list lengthens to the limit of the envelopes ordered.

I can think of lots of uses for such a book: a place to put memorabilia from the wedding, such as programs, place cards, toasts, photos, and dried flowers. Or a place to put memorabilia from the honeymoon, such as tickets and brochures. Or as a time capsule to be opened on the 10th anniversary. And on and on and on ...

  2. Sounds like a great idea but alot of extra work at the last minute. I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out. I'm sure you'll do a great job. Linda E.
